Bought this to replace a half brass, half plastic faucet that developed a hidden leak and slowly dripped into the vanity cabinet hidden from view! This faucet is not only visually appealing but it is heavy duty and I believe that it will last my lifetime. Had to buy some longer supply lines because the ones provided were about 1-1/2 inches too short, but Phiestina had them at reasonable price.
If you are looking at installing a talavara or similar decorative sink which doesn't have integral openings for a faucet, this is a good option. You can mount it fairly close to the back of the sink and the water angles nicely into the center of the sink.
